Engineering & Medical Summer Programs

These two programs are definitely worth looking into if you are planning to major in these fields:

Mississippi State University Summer Bridge Program - Engineering
This program is for students interested in majoring in engineering and is designed to build skills so that students can be successful in an engineering program.  Applications are now being accepted.  Contact Mrs. Angela Verdell at 662-325-8449 or visit bagley.msstate.edu/summerbridge for further information.

Rural Medical Scholars Program  This program is for rising seniors who are interested in a career as a family physician.  In this program you will be given the opportunity to attend Mississippi State University for five weeks this summer (June 2 - July 8, 2013), take two pre-med courses (Biology & Sociology) and observe doctors at practice throughout the program.  Other than the $60.00 registration fee and the cost of textbooks and food during the program, there are no charges to the scholars.  Tuition and room charges are all provided by the program.  You must have a minimum composite ACT score of 25 to be considered for this academically challenging program. Applications for the 2013 summer program are available on line at www.RMS.msucares.com.  For further information contact Dr. Bonnie Carew at 662-325-1321 orbcarew@ext.msstate.edu.
